THE CHOSEN - SEASON 2
Back by popular demand, we will continue with the Chosen Series Season Two. We will continue to provide insights to prepare you to view the program like never before!
Imagine you could see the life of Jesus through the eyes of the people that walked on Earth with him– the disciples, Mary his mother, the Pharisees, the children, those he healed. What would that look like? Now you can experience it!
The Chosen is he first-ever-multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus. Created outside of the Hollywood system, The Chosen allows us to see Him through the eyes of those who knew him.
The Chosen stays faithful to the Gospels and at the same time tells us a story that is in between the lines of scripture. This T.V. series brings to life those people who are mentioned in the Bible, using the historical context of life at the time of Jesus. The series does not contradict scripture, but instead puts life around it so that we as viewers can imagine, “What was life like with Jesus.” it really could have been this way.
We at Good Shepherd believe that as you encounter the characters in The Chosen, each week for the next 8 weeks, you will build a new curiosity about the life of Jesus and those who followed him when he walked the Earth.
Our hope is that as our church encounters the characters in The Chosen, we are able to relate to them, leading us to a closer relationship with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
The Chosen is a fresh look at the Gospels for those who have been reading the stories for years or for those who are just curious about who Jesus is and was.
Join us, starting May 4th at 7pm in Fellowship Hall. We will meet for 8 weeks to watch the entire 2nd season. We will also be able to discuss each episode with our fellow parishioners, in small group settings using scriptural references. We hope you will take this journey with us.
No need to sign up, just come and enjoy!

The Ordination of Steven McClernon
An Invitation to Our Parish
Dear Good Shepherd Parish Family,
It has been seven years since I first entered seminary formation, and now I am only weeks away from being ordained a priest for our diocese. The journey to reach this point was difficult at times difficult, but the joy of serving the people never wavered. Thanks to all of you for being so supportive of me every step of the way; we truly have a blessed parish!
I would like to invite all of you to the events of Ordination Weekend. On Saturday, June 10th at 11 AM at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre, Bishop Barres will ordain me a priest. On Sunday, June 11th at 12 Noon, I will celebrate my first Mass of Thanksgiving. Please know you are welcome to attend one or both of these events.
Let's continue to pray for each other and that more men from our parish might hear God's call to be a priest.
In Friendship,
Steven McClernon
