PRAYER WRITERS

Volunteers for this ministry are responsible for writing the General Intercessions for the Sunday Masses which are read after the Profession of Faith. They are more commonly referred to as the “Petitions”.
The petitions always speak to the needs and concerns of our Church, our world, our nation and the Good Shepherd community. Each person must be able to reflect on the word of God and its meaning in our everyday lives and have the ability to creatively write and inspire through their words. They should also be able to establish a theme drawn directly from the scriptures for weekend celebrations to provide the parishioners with prayerful expressions that reflect on the scriptures. This ministry offers individuals with limited time, or who may not have the ability to attend meetings, the chance to make a significant impact on the community of the faithful. I simply pray. Pray for healing in a relationship. The future is unknown. -Francis B. Please pray for my mom. She has a mass in her breast. She goes tomorrow for a biopsy of the mass and a lymph node. Please pray that it is not cancer and that it is something that can be treated. If it is cancer please pray that it is a non aggressive form that has a good prognosis. Also please pray for my family that we can know how to be of support and strength for her. He is still waiting to hear back about another job. I have an illness that prevents me from working. Please pray for God's provision. This is not a want it is a need.
